Citcon and Bold Commerce open more than 150 digital wallets for DTC retailers and brands

Leader in payments and experts in the online payment experience Enable sellers to conduct global commerce at scale
SANTA CLARA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Citcon Inc., the leading mobile wallet payment provider enabling global commerce at scale, today announced that it has completed integrating its unified payment API into the Bold Commerce’s headless checkout. Citcon and Bold Commerce’s combined solution will enable leading retailers and DTC brands to accept and process more than 150 payment methods, including popular digital wallets, local payment systems and overseas customers’ preferred credit cards through to a single integration.
According to the Bold Commerce Checkout Benchmark report, more than half (53%) of shoppers who check out abandon the process before completing their purchase. In the booming Asia-Pacific e-commerce market, carts are often abandoned at checkout when customers cannot use their preferred local payment method. Prioritizing the checkout experience, which includes easy access to preferred payment methods, can significantly reduce cart abandonment issues, drive higher revenue, and improve customer experience.
Citcon’s comprehensive payments solution includes payment processing and gateway services, as well as reporting and funds settlement through a single API integration. Integrating this capability into the Bold Commerce Payments Platform enables merchants wishing to serve overseas markets from Asia-Pacific to Latin America, as well as domestic consumers who use these payment methods, to accept and process transactions transparently and securely.
“E-commerce is, by definition, a global market,” said Wei Jiang/President and COO of Citcon. “By enabling businesses to easily accept digital wallets and consumer-preferred payment systems in countries like China, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Latin America, we enable any business to operate as a global company and reach these previously untapped markets. ”
“As brands and retailers look to expand their business into new markets, our integration with Citcon will allow them to expand Bold Checkout’s capabilities internationally, with expanded payment options across all channels,” said said Yvan Boisjoli, co-founder and CEO of Bold Commerce. “Bold Commerce and Citcon recognize that when retailers provide shoppers with their preferred payment options and a seamless checkout experience, they see conversion rates increase as a result.”
