Kahramaa Launches Direct Debit Service in Collaboration with Commercial Bank

Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) on Saturday announced the launch of Direct Debit Service, which is the company’s latest electronic service aimed at providing smart payment solutions, in collaboration with Commercial Bank.
With this innovative service, Kahramaa customers could “enjoy an easier and faster monthly bill payment experience than ever before,” the company said in a statement.
To benefit from this facilitated service, customers will authorize Kahramaa, “once and for all”, to withdraw monthly amounts due directly from their bank accounts, and no additional steps will be necessary.
Commercial Bank will perform all necessary coordination processes with Kahramaa to finalize this authorization and implement the monthly debit process.
This service will facilitate the customer’s experience and provide a convenient method of payment.
It will also facilitate Kahramaa’s fee collection and financial settlement processes, the statement said.
Jaber Hamad al-Nabit, director of financial affairs and customer service department at Kahramaa, said the service comes amid the company’s ongoing efforts to improve customer services and streamline customer service processes. payment through these advanced electronic tools.
“As part of our distinguished partnership with Commercial Bank, and to provide the best services to our customers, we are launching this e-service which represents a new step towards digital transformation, an approach adopted by the company in all aspects of its work,” al-Nabit said.
“Such a step reflects our company’s firm belief in the importance of joint action and cooperation in order to develop our work and provide support to all sectors in Qatar. Kahramaa spares no effort to build institutional skills and improve electricity and water services to achieve global leadership in the field in line with Qatar National Vision 2030,” the official added.
Raju Buddhiraju, Executive Managing Director and Head of Wholesale Banking at Commercial Bank, said: “This service is in line with Commercial Bank’s strategy to provide smart digital banking solutions to customers, enabling them to benefit from payment services fast and safe to improve their banking operations. experience.”

The direct debit service is available for CBQ customers and customers of other banks in Qatar, according to Kahramaa’s statement.
To register for this service, one simply has to register online for the direct debit service via a one-time process on Kahramaa’s website, km.qa, log into their Kahramaa account, click on “New Request automatic debit”. , fill in the account details and then submit the request.
Finally, one must print the PDF form, sign it and then submit it in the drop box placed in the branches of the Commercial Bank. Commercial Bank customers can also register for this service directly through the bank’s app.
