Kahramaa launches direct debit service
Doha: Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation “Kahramaa” today launches “Direct Debit Service”, its latest electronic service aimed at providing smart payment solutions in collaboration with Commercial Bank of Qatar “CBQ”, the pioneering digital bank in Qatar.
With this innovative service, Kahramaa customers will be able to enjoy an easier and faster monthly bill payment experience than ever before.
To benefit from this facilitated service, customers will authorize Kahramaa, once and for all, to withdraw monthly amounts due directly from their bank accounts, and no additional steps will be necessary. The Commercial Bank will perform all necessary coordination processes with Kahramaa to finalize this authorization and implement the monthly direct debit process.
This service will facilitate the customer’s experience and provide a convenient method of payment. This will also facilitate Kahramaa’s fee collection and financial settlement processes.
On this occasion, Jaber Hamad Al-Nabit, Director of Financial Affairs and Director of Customer Services Department at Kahramaa, said that this service is part of Kahramaa’s continuous efforts to improve customer services and streamline payment processes with these advanced electronic tools. “As part of our distinguished partnership with Commercial Bank, and to provide the best services to our customers, we are launching this e-service which represents a new step towards digital transformation, an approach adopted by the Company in all aspects of the work,” Al-Nabit added.
In the same vein, Al-Nabit noted, “Such a step reflects our company’s firm belief in the importance of joint action and cooperation in order to develop our work and provide support to all sectors in Qatar,” adding, “Kahramaa spares no effort. strengthen institutional skills and improve electricity and water services to achieve global leadership in the field in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.”

The direct debit service is available for CBQ customers and customers of other banks in Qatar. To register for this service, simply register online for the “Direct Debit Service” via a one-time process on the Kahramaa km.qa website: log in to your Kahramaa account, click on “New Request for debit “. ”, fill in your account details, then submit your application. Finally, print the PDF form, sign it, and then submit it to the drop box located at CBQ branches. CBQ customers can also register for this service directly through the CBQ app.
