There are a few things the OPPD wants you to know: The OPPD will not contact you and demand immediate payment over the phone. OPPD customer service representatives cannot accept payments over the phone. The OPPD will not threaten to cut your service at short notice. The OPPD will not request payment by Green Dot card, gift card or prepaid debit card. The department said it has also seen attempted scams through misleading messages, voicemails and robocalls.
