Standard Chartered Bangladesh on Sunday launched a credit card-like SMART card that offers a wide range of benefits for a digitally driven lifestyle.
The credit card offers benefits such as simple borrowing against minimum financial securities, a digital reward points benefit on every transaction up to Tk 100, and an opportunity for customer self-service and other digital services.
The card was launched during a program held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka attended by Bank Managing Director Naser Ezaz Bijoy, Retail Bank Director Sabbir Ahmed and Marketing Business Director Bitopi Das Chowdhury , among others.
“SMART Card was conceptualized by the Millennial for those who resonate with the Millennial Mindset. It supports their digital lifestyle, affinity for social causes and their ambitious or growth mindset as it is the first carbon neutral card on the market. It offers the opportunity to contribute to community projects that support disadvantaged young people, especially girls, with visual impairments and offers privileges against subscribing to knowledge and lifestyle websites. The SMART Card will evolve based on customer behavior and feedback. I would like to thank Visa Card for being our partner in this unique and innovative initiative, ”said Naser.
Sabbir said: “The standard SMART Chartered Card meets the daily needs of our young and dynamic clientele with daily benefits. The Single Card adapts to our changing lifestyles, providing excellent value for money to meet the daily spending needs of our customers. ‘
“With the SMART Card, consumers can earn big and save more with their daily expenses. Cardholders can also take advantage of the flexibility of an interest-free payment to meet unforeseen financial needs or easily fund their purchases, ”he added.
Card users will also receive multiple cash back rewards and discounts of up to 15% on online transactions with multiple consumer digital platforms like foodpanda, Daraz, Pizza Hut, Pathao, Netflix and Spotify.
It also offers special discounts on annual consumption above 3 lakh Tk.
